Hunt Underwater Specialties, LLC has performed diving services at several hydroelectric facilities throughout the eastern United States. Hydroelectric power generation stations have numerous underwater projects being performed at any given time. Typical examples when dewatering is required divers are utilized to clean the sills prior to the deployment head-gates or tailrace gates to clear any potential blockages or interferences. Another task for divers is repairing, replacing or cleaning trash racks. Other requested diving services would include inspections of fore-bays, penstocks and other miscellaneous structures as well as masonry repairs of concrete structures which require the application of grouts, mortars and epoxies specifically designed for underwater use.
